anyone know a good file splitter...read on

hi ive ripped a dvd to a mpeg-2 format with smatrripper...i can play back the movie no probs but as thease vob files are a gig apiece and may be 5 or more a film i was wondering is there a file splitter program to split each vob file to a cdr for a example 2 cd-r disc for each vob..cos i just want to save thease vobs on cd-r as they take up alot of disk space ..the simple answer to this would e to invest in a dvd-rw drive which have disks upto 8gb but thease are so expensive just wanted to know any way around it

is there any particular reason that u want the movie left in VOB form? why not encode to Divx... if quality is an issue use a very very high framrate.. it will still be WAAYY smaller than messing with 8 or so CD-Rs full of VOBs
