Hello, I subscribe to a Movie Downloading Online site. i have the choice if downloading in DivX format or XviD format. I was wondering if anyone can tell me which format will give me the best quality video when burning to DVD's. Also, file size is no matter to me, i just want to know which will give better quality.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks

GIGO (garbage in garbage out). Whichever looks best before conversion will look better after conversion. Doom9.org has a good video comparison of different avi (mpeg4) encoders. In their tests Xvid is the clear winner. IMO I like xvid better. I get better encodes with xvid and the encodes (IMO) are of better quality.
