Hi,

I own a LG DVDRAM GMA 4020B dvd writer that I've been using for two years. I'm using Nero 6.3.16 for burning DVDs. I usually burn at 1x even though my drive supports 2x. The DVD-R media I use is from Factory Direct http://www.factorydirect.ca/cgi-bin/product_spec.pl/DV4740
I find that every alternate disc that I burn has some write error. The data verification test at the end of nero will fail so many times, usually just for 1 file.

Firstly, where is the nero log stored so that I can look at the file(s) that did not burn succesffully? This way instead of burning a complete 4.7 GB disc again, I just have to re-burn the few files that are causing the trouble.

Secondly, how to I eliminate the error altogether?

I really need this help since I burn files frequently for use at work and for my boss.

Absolutely any help you provided is appreciated.

look in this file: NeroHistory.log
C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero

You might want to check to be sure that you have the latest firmware for your burner, make sure you have the last version of Nero. You might also want to check into changing media. A lot of posters here really like Ridata G04 for general all around compatability or at least a good name brand.

You might want to check the disc that Nero reports as having errors. You might find that the disc are fine. Nero sometimes reports failure when none really exist. Check to see if there is a Nero update and if I were you I'd upgrade the blank disc I'm using to a top quality name brand or Ridata G04. The time your spending creating the disc and cost per disc does not equal one another.
Just a thought.

Hi there ruthless

Your memory in use is over 80% this is one of the reasons why your getting a failure read more about this here:

http://www.nero.com/en/631939497433315.html

Another thing is you have to finalize your DVD because Standalone players wont read a open disk.

Then Try better media than Yi Jha - n 001

Update your Nero to the latest version here:

http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php

Good things :)
