HELP!! Quicktime to AVI

Hi i just need a simple Quicktime MOV to AVI convertor that is free, and that dont display adverts on the frames etc.

Have tried a dos one james somebody and it has propmlems with a few of my mov files

any help appreciated

Thankyou for your help, i did find a solution, i had it all along, it was the TMPenc program that i manages to convert them in (with a QT plugin) i just didnt know how to use the software, im new to all this, but with a bit of messing i found a solution
