Hello there,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following error message I am getting in VirtualDub v1.3c (ASF Support). When I try encode a ASF to a AVI it sends it over, but will never open because of the following error ...Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'WMV1' (unknown)...Does anyone know what I have top do to fix this problem? Is there a codec I have to install??? Please help. Thanks!!

sounds like you need the WMV/ASF decompressor which plays the files, but you should have it installed on your system anyway with windows....are you getting that error message when you open the file in VirtualDub, try and encode the file in VirtualDub or when you've finished encoding the AVI file and try and open the AVI file?

hmm i do have the codec for wmv i cna play it and i get a error message in v dub also i need some help man can u help me dude hit me up on icq 18165036 if u got it
