Buying dvds

I always thought that all dvds are the same, now from reading at websites I found out there are not. I am trying to buy a 100 pack below 40 dollars. With all shipping and handling and stuff it will reach 50 dollars. I found dvds a newegg.com I heard that its a good website here the link to the dvds http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-132-344&depa=0

There only 100 pack Ritek for $35, with 4 dollars shipping.
That dosn't sound right since most other 100 pk dvd are around
50 dollars.

If any knows that the dvds are good media please tell me.

One more thing though can anyone tell me how to keep good care of burned dvds. I mean so they don't scrathed.

what you pay is what you get. ritek are ok, but you should try to match the media with your burner.

buy some empty dvd cases or you can use cd cases to store them in.
i always buy the double dvd cases, transfer the covers over & have both the "original & copy" in 1 case (great space saver). there is 3 & 4 (& others) dvd cases too.

So I'm just going to go with the $35 100 pk. And take my chances.
Ritek is the best media out there.

I bought a 100 Pack of Ritek 8X +R R03's from Newegg. Had problems burning at 8X on my Lite-on 1613S but they burn fine at 4x after firmware update to 1633S BS41. I buy Verbatim 8X +R MCC 003 at Sams club for $59 a hundred and they burn at 12X no problem.

Office Depot is having a sale on Maxell DVD +/-R media for $5.00 for a spindle of 15. This works out to 33 cents per disk. The -R media is 8x made in Japan and burns at 16x on my NEC 3500 burner. It plays on my archaic standalone DVD player.

DVD media is coming down in price fast. Look around and you can find some good deals.

Went to Sams Club this afternoon the Verbatim 100 Pack was down to $44 prices are dropping fast. Maybe the D/Ls will start coming down soon

I just bought a spindle of 50 HP's for $17 at Staples. Out of 5 dvd's attempted to be burned, 2 failed. I had previously bought a pack of 5 Sony's, and none failed. My question is, are these "value pack" spindles of 50 or 100 dvd's a lesser quality dvd than those packaged in the more expensive 5-10 pack?

Ritek is by far the best media for the price...also trying Prodisc..not bad for the price.....
