Does divx 5 work with wmp8 and win XP?

Just wondering if divx 5 plays most *.avi's in win XP on medai player 8 before I try upgrading to XP again.

Well it should, but I can't make any promises.

But if the question is whether or not to upgrade to XP, I say go for it, definetly an improvement over win98, personally I prefer win2k but thats just me.

There's no reason why it shouldn't. The creator of DivX would want their software to work with as many platforms as possible and that should include M$'s new toy XP, which everyone seems so eager to get their hands on.
