I am totally confused. I had just finished Decrypting a DVD with the DVD Decrypter program last night. After which I used DVD Shrink to trim down the movie. It was getting rather late so I saved the new file onto my hard drive. This morning I wanted to burn the file that DVD Shrink created onto a DVD. I named the folder ThePatriotISO

I have been following manulas that I found on this site but every manual is not very descriptive when it comes to this step. When I start DVD Decrypter I do the following steps:

Mode------->ISO----------Write

I then get a screen where I must choose the image file, yet when I select the folder ThePatriotISO, it simply opens it up and shows me the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files. I am stuck here and do not know where to find the image file.

Please help as soon as possible. Much appreciated.

I would suggest that you view the fine "Visual" instructions contained in the following thread:

Hi LOGAN2005

Whilst in DVD Shrink.....
After clicking on Backup from the "Select backup target" dropdown menu did you select "ISO image file"?
:)

I can't seem to find the image file. That's the problem, I only see a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS file. I don't know what to do at this point. I was expecting to see a file that I can selet and then click okay.

Any suggestions?

"I only see a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS file."

That means that you initially saved it as a "DVD Package" and not an ISO image file. Follow the directions as suggested by "mig$y" and backup the project again.

Or save you some time and open up the output folder in DVD Shrink and output them as an ISO - should take you less than 5 minutes.

You were right I did not save it as a ISO file. That was the problem. Thanks for the help!

Just one question though.

I was backing up a copy of The Patriot as I am sure you guys can tell. Yet the whole process which included Decrypting the movie with DVD Decryptor, then Analyzing it and creating an ISO file with DVD Shrink, and then finally burning the Image onto a DVD+R disc took me well over 3 hours. Is this normal and is there anything that I can do to speed up the process?
A friend of mine backs up movies all the time and I find it hard to believe that it takes him this long as well. He apparently usues DVD Shrink and B's Gold only. He doesn't use DVD Decryptor from what I understand.

Also, another friend of mine usues DVD X Copy to backup movies. From what I heard it takes him about 20 minutes to backup a movie? How can this be?

By the way, I have a Sony DRU-710 DVD Dual Layer Burner.
