All right...this is really interesting

I was doing the Star Wars Episode I rip when I noticed something really disturbing. During the intro where we get the good ol' word scrolling up towards the top of the screen, I realised that the words in different languages have been mixed together, sort of interchanging between the different languages every second. How the hell do I ensure that I get only the english words? I think I've seen one person posting a Star Wars related problem, but I can't remember what the problem was nor find the thread anyway.

Some info:
DVD2AVI project -> vFAPI -> Nandub

It's a multiangle DVD. I guess (since I don't use DVD2AVI) that you haven't properly taken this into account in your rippng/conversion procedures. It probably requires ripping full DVD and selecting the proper .IFO...

How did you rip the movie ?, since DVD2AVI does not parse ifo files, you must strip the multiple angles from the vobfiles when ripping the DVD.

I tried parsing the .ifo file in Flask and well, the problem is solved....partially though, because I was actually thinking of using nandub (which happens to be unable to parse .ifo files). Maybe it's time for the old 4.x/Flask technique. :)

Thanks for the suggestions anyway, guys. :)

it's a matter of ripping not transcoding

ripping either angle 1 or 2 should solve the problem

sr2.41=> dvd2avi=>gk=>avs=> nandub worked like a charm for me AND FOR BOTH ANGLES

Thanks, Uncas.

I'll pay attention to that the next time I get a multi-angle DVD. :)
