View Full Version : How much Hard Disk SPACE needed for VCD?

How much hard disk space do I need for conversion from a DivX to make a VCD movie (for example, for a 600MB DivX). I've found out how to do it, but don't know if I'll have enough disk space. Does it scale linearly with the size of the DivX (as in, do I require half as much hard disk space for the procedure for a DivX that is half as big)?

A VCD file will usually be approximately twice the size (in Megabytes) as a DivX-compressed .AVI file...

if you know how many minutes......a standard vcd is approximately 10 megabytes per minute.
