I am going to ask this question here as the above thread is locked.As AfreecodecVT was finished I thought downloading a window appeared stating that my run files where out of date and did I want to install the technology or cancel.As I am very new to all this I decided to cancel until I could ask this question on the forum.I think it stated windows 6 run files.I am sorry my question here is do you know if this is safe.It looked like a security warning and I have just been hearing a lot lately about things that look like updates'There was no ID on it.

I was wondering if the program could be updated. When checking avi files from mini-dv Canon ZR40 video camera (captured using Windows Movie Maker) I get error:

Audio Code Video FourCC
N/A N/A
Audio Codec Video Codec
N/A N/A
This AVI file is possibly damaged
640x480 resoltion with 116,000 Frames @ 25FPS
Unable to determine ratio of video to audio data.
