Hello everyone
My first post here, feel so good !
Anyways, I been search around for my problem, unfortunately, I still haven't solve it.

I recently bought a Anime DVD from Japan (Any God, a very old anime). Since it's extremely rare now, I don't want any scratches on it. So I want to convert them to AVI or Divx files, and be able to playback from my computer and save me some harddrive space. Do you guys know which program should I use? Is it different with subtitle?

Please help me out here.

THank you very much ~

"So I want to convert them to AVI or Divx files, and be able to playback from my computer"

Hello and welcome to the forums. I would use a freeware program called "DVD2AVI" and create a "Project File" then "Frameserve" it to a program called "Gordian Knot" for creation of a DivX or XviD of the DVD. You could also experiment with programs such as "SimpleDivX" or "Dr. DivX" that provide a much easier conversion (but less output control) process.

You can use FlaskMPEG to convert the video and include the subtitles (as a permanent part of the .AVI (DivX-compressed or otherwise)...
