Raw AVI to Divx 5.0 conversion

Hey guys,

I'm using VirtualdubMod to convert an uncompressed AVI home movie to divx 5.0. I ran it once in Nth Pass - First pass then ran it again for Nth passes - Nth pass. The video compressed, however it's very jagged. I was compressing to a bitrate of 3500 kbps (I know, it was pointless, but just letting you know what it was) I also used Deinterlace filters and a 2:1 reduction filter. In gordion knot filters I was using the deinterlace filter and I had it set for "duplicate field 2" so basically it just copies the each line down one spot creating the jagged lines. I changed it to "blend fields together" It's not perfect but it isn't as jagged.
