Burning problem

I have tried to use dvdfab and info edit to get it to burn right, but i guess i am doing something wrong. I am feeling like the class idiot here trying to get this done. I don't know why the first one finally copied but i tried to redo what i did and it will not work with the second one. If anyone has successfully backed up the stargate series I would appreciate any help.

@ devilgirl33 - you will only need to apply this fix if you get the error code in DVD Shrink. This has nothing to do with the burning - only to get the files to open up in DVD Shrink.

What problem do you have with Stargate? Can't you open up the files in DVD Shrink?

@ cynthia i can open it in dvd shrink and in nero recode it goes through the encoding and analysing process and then poops out at the burn, right at the beginning. It will set the disk to dvd rom and then act like its going to burn then exits out. This is getting frustrating, as you can imagine. I tried going into info and doing that and it isn't working either.

Sounds as a burning problem. What program do you use for burning?

Noticed a lot of these ***** recently. Sometimes in media description..sometimes, as here, in the drive description. Anyone know what's causing these asterisks to cover up data? I know they've been substituted when someone is using offensive language...but what gives with the instances above?

My DVD writer is by Matsh!ta as well. The language editor finds offensive words, whether they are embedded or not, and gets rid of them. In this case, it's getting rid of the word s-h-i-t. So, the forum software hates by drive, big deal, I'll get used to it. :rofl:

you wont believe this, i finally broke down and did a system restore to 2 weeks ago, and poof no more problems. Don't know what was effecting this but as soon as I did that and updated Nero I was fine.

Everyone make sure that if you use Nero to update the updates came out last week, they also have a new update to the software so its a benifit to go and get it done, there are 6 updates and do all of them.

please i need help.i have dvd rw MSI and when i burn my dvd,they burning him 1 h and 10 min.i think its a big time for burning dvd.how to fix that???I burn my dvd with new nero(ver.6.14)

in response to your question i have one in return, are you using DVD shrink so that encoding is being done? If so then an hour is not a long time.
