Ok guys, I am new, but I need a hand...

I HATE to ask for help, but I feel like I am beating my head against a wall here:

I will go step by step:

1) I am _TRYING_ to make a backup of a movie I already have, but the DVD is getting worn... :D

- First I use Smartripper 2.40 to rip the .vob and .ifo files.

-Then, i use DVD2AVI to convert to .avi and remove the sound.

-Then, i use VFAPI

-Next, i hit it with TMPGEnc

-Then, i use VCDImagerGUI to make the cue/bin files

-Lastly, I use Blindwrite to burn the VCD...

After all that, the VCD I made does not work, however the MPEG I got from my origional DVD looks great on my PC.

:missile:

Any help would be appreciated...

My standalone DVD player is a Sharp DV-710 CD/DVD/VideoCD player.. if that makes a differance..

THANK YOU!

HELLO!!

angelgrin:

FIRST I WANT TO SAY I HATE TO GIVE YOU HELP BUT I JUST DO IT OK?!!
:) :) :)

No, serious, you just use to much programs. I also burn VCD's and just use smartripper, then Flask 0.6, TMPEnc and then Nero. ONLY flask converts.

That's my way. I suggest you try Nero once to burn your VCD.

And about the player: can it read Cd-R's?? (I suggest it can but you never know)

:smashead:

I have a problem with Nero.. It does not like the adaptec CD software I already use...

I have found a good website at www.vdchelp.com

I will try a few of the step-by-steps in there, and report my findings.

And yes, my DVD player is supposed to be able to read VCD,SVCD on CD-RW's...
