PC Does Not Recognize DVD

I have been using DVD shrink with much success and the few times there were problems Decryptor works well. The only problem I have run into (twice) I will try to copy a DVD which my PC will not recognize i.e. will not play on pc and indicates "no disc". At this point I am dead in the water. I have a Tosheba DVD in the PC. Any suggestions.

Is it an original or a copy?

Does it play on any other player like a standalone DVD player or someone else's system?
