I need to know how can i convert to mp3 the total or partial sound of a Avi (DivX) film ???

load your avi into virtualdubMOD

mark beginning + end of your selection (if you want one) with the black arrows (on the right hand side)

set video to direct stream

use file => save as to save this selection

now load the new selection into vdMOD again, go to streams => stream list => demux
