What is Ac3filter?

I know it is a decoder but can it encode as well. The reason I ask, is that I want to up the voice levels in films I encode to DVD. I've tried normalising with DeDynamic and Normalise.exe but I wasn't that happy with the results.

i don't believe it encodes, only plays...

to encode/modify ac3, i recommend 'besweet', and also its 'add-on GUI' 'belight'

get them from http://www.doom9.org :)

I 've tried besweet for AC3 but it always gave mixed results. Now I use a free program called "ffmpeggui" which can covert AC3, WAV, MP3, MP2, and from video file to AC3 and MP2. I always have well created AC3 so far with this tool. Go to the link below if you want to get it: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=434

Anonymez.
I've downloaded Besweet but I can't find the plug in. Maybe i'm just thick LOL, but which one is it?

Cheers Ben. I'll take a look at ffmpeggui and see what it's about, but first i'll try Besweet.

make sure you download the 'ac3enc' plugin from http://besweet.notrace.dk/plug-ins.htm and extract to the 'besweet' folder :)

try this simple guide if you aren't familiar with the interface :) http://www.doom9.org/belight-ac3toac3.htm

I was thinking of audio in general but that does include mp3. Thanks for the guide I will install the Plug-in asap.

I've had a quick look at the guide and looks quite interesting, i'll try it out over the next couple of days.
