Hello I've posted before but it may have got lost in the wash somewhere...
I'm trying to get a handle on cutting large DIVX files that have an AC-3 audio track...I need a procedure or a tutorial or a URL that may help me.
I've used nandub on a large file that I spliced the vid & audio together and just following the basic key in key out procedures it worked ok, However when I tried on another divx file-( exactly the same process mind you - NO audio was forth coming....
So can any body help???
I tried uysing virtual dub ac-3 but for some reason had no ac-3 support evident---unlike nandub that has obvious ac-3 file support????

To simply CUT an AVI file with ANY type of audio stream, you can use plain old VirtualDub (no special version required) as follows:

1) Load your file inot VirtualDub

2) Set BOTH "Audio" and "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"

3) Set your desired start and end points for the first part

4) Save with a new filename

5) Reset the start point to the end point used for the first part

6) Set your end point to the end of the video

7) Save with a new filename

Let us know of your success ;>}
