RealPlayer Plays .VOB in French?!?

I recently ripped a chapter from the Full Metal Jacket DVD, and when I play it (.vob file) in RealPlayer10, it plays in French. Aside from not playing in Quicktime, at least WMP10 gets the English (but not video), and PowerDVD plays the regular video in normal English. Is there something I can do in RealPlayer to get it to play in English rather than French?

Audio stream selection depends on what is in the IFO files. Without that, you are at the mercy of your player. Usually, in the absence of an IFO, they pick the first audio stream they come across, but in your case, not so.

Here's an idea. Re-rip in IFO mode but de-select the languages you don't want. Then the player has no option but to play the only stream it finds - English.
