ok....i wonder how to compress my files into smaller ones...such ....a 200 meg into 50-60 megabytes...I also want to compress my music files so that I can organize it properly...the smaller..the better right...??
but...when i used winrar or winzip...it compressed only a little....please....tell me where to download FREE file compression....and make sure they compress a lot....!!!! ok..bye... i hope you can help me..!!!thanks .....:bowing: please.....
It depends on what files they are. Files such as MP3 and DVD Files like VOB's are already compessed. Therefore, any programs like winzip and winrar will not be able to compress them any further. The same applies to graphics such as JPG's which are also compressed.
The only way to get MP3's smaller is to re-encode them to a smaller bitrate However, it affects the quality. DVD files can be compressed further by DVD Shrink but, again the quality will be affected.
What files are the 200MB ones?

AVI's are normally already compressed so they cannot be compressed much more.

If you want the AVI's smaller you'll need to re-encode them. A good free way to do this is get VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/) and install the Xvid Codec (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software.htm). Then load the .AVI into virtualdub and encode it with Xvid.
