If you know their IP address - which may be spoofed and not real - you can go here (http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation) and find out what city their ISP is in, at least. You can then report them to the ISP.

@asralf - you can never tell, it might be someone who does not know how to spoof their IP address. If the person is bothering you and it is anything that might be against rules (harrasing, threats etc) I would report the IP address to the Internet provider you get from arin whois and report it. Most of them have free 1-800 numbers. This way at least you did something to try and stop it. If it from an Instant Messenger ( Yahoo, MSN or whoever) report the user name to them. Sounds like it is serious enough because you seem upset.

If serious enough I would report it to your ISP also.

The phone company also does this type of thing when a person triies to hide their caller ID from showing by going anonymous. But then with the phone company there is an option to reject all anonymous calls.

Good Luck and let us know how you make out.
