Problem looking to movies

I have same movies that I used to look on. For some time ago all films look strange. It look like that the resolution is 640x480 and 256 colours. But it isn't.
I've uppdated my videodriver software to the latest. Also tested some other videoprograms lika VLC, WindowsMediaPlayer, RealPlayer, Winamp but it's allways the same bad picture.

What is wrong? How do I fix this?

It sounds like you've changed the video resolution and or color depth. Check your settings

I am not sure, you could try VirtualDub to see the attributes of the program or something.
