I have both a DVD player and a DVD burner/player. I had a problem with my photo card reader (unrelated to this problem) which I had taken to the dealer that sold me my new computer. Please tell how that now when I put a DVD in to play (both) I get an, "windows can not find program". This program originated the drive that the DVD player and DVD burner/player is on. I can find it in my explore directory but can not get either player/burner to work.
I would greatly appreciate help. thanks.

This is a commerical DVD? Maybe your software player was a trial version which has expired, or has become corrupted.
DL Media Player Classic from the link in my signature. It plays DVDs without a hitch.

Thanks for the reply. I have both a dvd player and a dvdplayer and burner on my computer. They are not commercial. Both dvd players/burners worked fine b/4 the computer tech worked on my card reader. After that I can not get them to work as mentioned b/4. Please explain to me the download and how to get it from your signature? I want to thank you for the many downloads and to be honest I don't know which one to use for my situation. I may sound dumb, but help.
thanks.

You see the last link there? Says media player classic. Click on it. It will take you to a download centre for that prog.
If, after inserting a DVD, you can see the files in explorer, then the drives are OK.
