try updating your firmware here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2056
and try setting the burn speed to 2,4
edit:
Is this what you mean?

Is it the KS04 (http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/WebFW/SOHW-1693S/DR16KS04.zip) or is it LtnRPC (http://dhc014.rpc1.org/LtnRPC/) i need to download?
You said i should try 2,4 speed instead. Ithought is was better with a lower speed
Thx for your help so far :)

i dont think you would agree if you had heard kandis
@sleepyhead
wasn't there an .mds file
unfortunately i am not used to using pgc edit to make isos.
i know when you make an iso with dvd decrypter it makes an .mds file and the .mds file contains the layer break information , you need to choose an .mds file when burning so the programme knows where the layer break is
maybe its better for a pgc edit user to add to this

Firmware updated (check):)
I used dvd-decrypter to decrypt the file, then PgcEdit to "jump to pgc" and make an iso
The log from PgcEdit is here:

Hope this helps:)

@Sleepyhead - your ISO from PgcEdit is fine :)
Those Ritek D01 disks have not got the best reputation. Try switching to Verbatims and hopefully your problems will vanish.

Im sorry to hear that about my discs...I have just bought 50 of them:smashead: :)
Could it be the settings in ImgBurn?
@blutach - It was your guide i was using, otherwise my iso probaly wouldnt have been fine, so thank you for that easy to follow guide :) :thumbs_up

no the discs are very hit and miss
if blu says your pgc iso is fine then the problem lies with the discs
lots of people having problems with them and a few having success
can't you return them and swap them for verbatims?

You said i should try 2,4 speed instead. Ithought is was better with a lower speed
just to add - you should be choosing a speed which the disc supports
the log shows 2,4x and 4x

I dont think i can return them. I bought them on the internet, from GB, and i live in another country (the same as you, i think:) )
I try to write them a mail and see what they say.
Thank you all for the help so far:)

Your right. I had not noticed that my self. I just thought the slower, the better. I will try to make a new burn, using 2,.4 right away.
Maybe I can use my coasters as ornaments for my christmas tree:)

remember to change the booktype to -ROM
you're welcome.
try the verbatim d/l discs
(du kunne sælge dem på qxl);)

Change the booktype to -ROM - Done
In settings/General/Display warnings the box is checked (Select MDS file Not ISO), should i uncheck it?
@cornholio7 - qxl var nok en meget god ide
cornholio7
17 Dec 2005, 08:04 AM
uncheck it because you have defined the layer break in pgc edit
sleepyhead
18 Dec 2005, 03:44 AM
okey, now i have tried burning 2 times and i have 2 new coasters for my christmastree
The first one was my own mistake, i forgot to reboot, after udating the firmware:smashead:
The second time i did everything right(i think), but the verify failed the same place as the other, after 50%
Could it have something to do with the layerbreak or something i have checked or unchecked?

you need to try verbatims.
it doesn't look like your drive likes these discs
sleepyhead
18 Dec 2005, 03:50 AM
okey, you dont think it is my settings in ImgBurn?
cornholio7
18 Dec 2005, 03:56 AM
no
the mistake is in different sectors. if it was the exact same sector it would indicate something wrong with the image but the mistakes in different sectors suggest media
verbatim, then lets see if you have success

Do you know where the cheapest place is to buy verbatim, printable?
I bought the ritek at: http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/ , but the verbatims cost almost 4 £ each

i don't remember seeing verbatim printable anywhere in europe.
sleepyhead
19 Dec 2005, 01:04 AM
They do have them at http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/ , right here: http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?lang=&submenu=DVD&menu=media&product_id=3536&session=f2b1fef67fa21a810c5595da472e3252
But they are expensive, compared to other brands. On the other hand, it is problaly more expensive bying cheap brands and make a lot of coasters:)

verbatim discs are a bit more expensive but there is a reason
