Hi all,
I'm having this problem when playing any Avi file :
When I launch the the file the sound and video are perfectly in sync but near half an hour later the sound is jerky and jittering all the time ... If I relaunch the movie and go directly to the place I stoped it the sound is synchronised again ....
I've tried reinstalling my codecs after uninstalling them .. I'm using the latest version of matroska pack .
thank you for your help ...

which media player are you using? got latest video/sound drivers? what are your PC's specs?
try downloading & installing the latest 'ffdshow' from http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Getting+ffdshow
and play with 'media player classic'

HI,
It does this with all my players : Bs Player, The core media player, widows media player and media player classic.
All my drivers have been updated (nvidia G force and Creative sound blaster live 5.1)
I'm running a Petium 4 2.4GB with 512 Ram, a Geforce 6800GT and SB live.
Here is an attachment of my ffdshow versions
Thanks for your help

and it doesn't happen with dvd's?
play a video that has this problem in media player classic. while its playing, right-click the video, and select 'filters'. list all the codecs/filters shown.
also ctrl+alt+delete, and check your cpu usage while playing. also check it while the problem is happening

I am having the same problem.
When I playback my mpg4 file, the audio is not in sync with the video, from start to finish.
i am on a Dell pentium M, 1.7 ghz, 512mb ram, laptop.
when I play a DVD, it is fine.. but when i decrypt it, then convert it so i can play it on my PSP, its like watching a bruce lee movie.. the sound it about 2 seconds behind the video being played.
please help?

Vanos,
I have a similar comp to you and the same problem. When I put mp4's on my PSP they audio and video are out of sync by about 2 seconds.
I have a Dell Inspiron 510m Pentium M 1.6Ghz 512 RAM laptop.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the problem is due to the fact that the CPU changes it's clocking speeds all the time. It sometimes runs at 1.6Ghz, and other times at 0.6 Ghz. If the writing of the file uses the CPU as a timer clock, when it switches, it will stuff up the timing and video & audio can become out of sync.
It also happens for my when I burns CD's, so it's not just a PSP problem. Sometime the audio is out of sync with them too.
BUT I don't know how to fix it. (btw, I'm not sure my guess is right, although it makes sense)
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? This would be much appreciated!
