I was at the store earlier, and there's a $25 instant rebate, but they're offering them on the website, too. I got two packs.

Yeah but the reviews for DVD+R 8x are better. That's what I just stocked up on the other day.

Hm. I initially had a 10pk of these same discs, and haven't had a problem. Everyone of them has worked fine.

Maybe I've just been the exception?

Yeah, you were :) I mean, I never buy 16x because it is too expensive... but no wonder they are on sale :P

Memorex is fine, unlike the assumption that Memorex is a bad brand... if you look at that media ID site... about half of Memorex's MID's are within first and second class. I use the DVD+R 8x, which you can get a 30 pack at Wal-Mart for $15, those are Riteks, much better than whatever MID the 16x are.

A friend said that newegg is selling a 100pk for 21.99 - also. I had a $25 gift certificate to best buy, so it was too good to pass up.

why you want to buy memorex when you can get verbatim at the same price?

100 pack of Maxell 8x DVD-R at Office Depot for $29.99 until 1/14.

I have been using these burning at 4x with no problems at all.

Hey man. Are you sure it's Maxell's at Office Depot and not Memorex? I see those in Memorex for that price, but not the Maxell's. Thanks!

Look under advertised specials on the website. I think the link is toward the bottom right of thier home page. You can also do a search in advertised specials and just type maxell. The last Maxell 50 pack I bought of these were actually RITEKG05's but I used the entire pack with zero coasters.
