Video stops, sound goes out of sync

Hello!

I have downloaded an avi file that plays perfectly fine for the first 10 minutes. Then the video stops for approximately 6 seconds and the sound keeps playing. When the video starts to play again, the sound is 6 seconds ahead.

Codec: DivX 5.0

Audio
48000Hz 128 kb/s total (2 chnls)
Codec: 0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3

I use the VLC player.


Does anyone have a solution for that problem?

Your .avi file is corrupt. You would use VirtualDubMod to fix it I think but, I don't know how as I have never done it. Hopefully one our .avi specialist will be around soon to add some input.
