View Full Version : burns w/o error message but results =NG

My burner is a lite-on sohw-1633s, w/verbatim discs, using the nero ultimate 7.0 software. the conversion goes fine and it appears the burn is ok as well.
no error messages or failure messages. But when I try to play the disk on my DVD player or through the computer all I get is the first 10 seconds of the video and then the image freezes. I upgraded my firmware and still no good.
any ideas why I'm having this problem?

nero, see if you can use shrink to iso then burn with dvd decrypter

Can you give more details? What verbatim media exactly? And what speed you burned these discs? Do you have latest firmware installed?

I used the verbatim 8x 4.7gb disks. I used "max speed", didn't specify anything specific 8x 6x etc... I downloaded memoirs of a geisha, which were AVI format. I downloaded the latest firmware BSOY before posting and I had the same problem. Someone here at work suggested running a lens cleaner disk, would that help?
