need help Converting .mpg to DVD

Howdy
I have a video file on my computer that is in .mpg format and i also have win avi video converter, but when ever i try to convert the file to DVD format (VOB) the program freezes. I was wondering if there were any other programs out there that would convert the file or even write it to a disc directly.

yeah that would work if you need to convert pal to ntsc which i'm not sure is the case for you. winavi is a lousy program anyway. you might try TMPGEnc Plus
