How to extract audio from DVB's mpg file?

Anyone know the best way to extract audio's from *.mpg files produced from Digital TV tuner cards?
Help appreciated.

DGIndex, projectX or tmpgenc's mpeg tools

as for "best", i like dgindex but projectX for troublesome streams
