DVD Drive ID

Can anyone help me I have a region coded 2 DVD but I want
to find out how to determine the manufacturer and model, I
have tried using Diskinfo 1.1 but this does not work as I am using
Windows XP

Have you tried looking under the "System" icon in the Control Panel (Select the "Device Manager" tab. Doubleclick on "CD ROM" - it will list DVD players as well as CD players).

;) Thanks I have now found out my make of DVD drive
by contacting the PC manufacturers who responded to
my e-mail with the DVD information
