Hello all, I hope someone can help me. I have been downloading videos or a few months now and all have been successful.
Suddenly when I try to process a MPG video through DVD author 2,
a message says:
Problems found. 32 fields is too long for a video GOP.
Max length for PAL: 30 fields (15 Frames)
May not play backup properly.
This has just started happening and I can't understand why??
Any suggestions? Alan.

TMPGEnc dvd author? if so the mpg isn't dvd compliant yet and will require encoding first.

Your vids are mastered very poorly mate. I'd be wary of them.

aussiealan,
Hi. Try to use MPEG Video Wizard DVD from www.womble.com. This DVD authoring has not so many restriction. It's very easy and useful. and it support the non-standard format.
Wish to help you.

Thanks Columbo, yes I am using TMPGEnc DVD Author 2, and I thought that it WAS an encoding and authoring program, from MPG to DVD. If not, any suggestions on another suitable program?
The video in question, was an old movie downloaded from tv network, then fusion to a mpg file. Althought I am a novice, I have successfully backed up many, this is the first time I have run into this problem.

use TMPGEnc plus to convert to mpeg II using the wizard, then it will load.
thread moved to the TMPGEnc forum.
