Hey,

Just thought i would ask this in case someone knows.

I have a Divx file with IMA ADPCM audio. I need to convert the audio to another format like mp3 but i need to only change the audio. I have found lots of software that will let me re-encode the whole file including the video and have found many that will let me extract the audio but when i go to put it together with the video it still wants to re-encode the video to.

Does anyone know of some software that will let me edit a video files audio and when i save the video file it leaves its current video format unaltered and not re-encoded twice. As i said its already in divx and I don’t want to re-encode and lose quality when all i want is the audio format of the file changed.

Any able to help me please?

Open ur file in VirtualdubMPEG2.In VIDEO select Direct Stream Copy. In AUDIO select Full Processing Mode.Again click on AUDIO and select Compression. Then select the compression of ur choice e.g Lame MP3.Next click File/Save as avi.
