I am soo tired of this, i cannot play a dvd on my tv.
I have nVidia Geforce2 64 MX and i have tried everything.
TVTool will not even work for the ten minutes that it says it will,
I have downloaded so much, and nothing will work, that i dont have to pay for.
If there had been a time when i was desperate, i passed it about three hours ago.

Don't stress m8!!
Have u tried Remote Selector or DVDIdle?? I can't tell u if these tools work, but u can try the trial version of DVDIdle, since i think it has macrovision-free option enabled...Remote Selector doesn't have the option enabled in trial version!!
Well, if none of these tools works for you, i think u're out of luck. If i'm not mistaked, both these tools remove macrovision directly from DVD playback signal (or somethink alike :P - i'm not an expert). Of course, u have to try these tools with a supported player (i think PowerDVD and WinDVD are supported)!!
Go to www.dvdidle.com
and www.remoteselector.com
Best luck for you!!
Cheers!!

thanks for the help, i think i tried most of those outfits and they were not helpful, unless i showed them my bank account of course, which im not happy to do. . .
All i want to do is watch dvds, thats not illegal and i will not pay to make it work
my solution was a stupid one, and i am sure it was a bug so im just not going to touch any of the settings any more, nor am i going to pay money for it, my insanity paid off, but i do think we should organize some sort of protest against this stupid macrovision, i dont even have my computer hooked up to a vcr.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP once again,
damn the man.
