Hi,
Apologies if this has been asked before.
I can't complete the install of AutoGK 2.7. Whenever I get to avisynth, the installation stops with the error message, "Must have administrator rights to istall avisynth (Can't write to System Folder)".
I'm running Win XP. As far as I'm aware, I am the administrator (I'm the only user on this computer).
Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

Check for sure that you are an admin.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
In User Accounts, my name is listed as 'Computer Administrator'.
The exact error was something like: 'not able to write to the System directory -it's read only'.
In the end I fixed it by:
1. Installing again (with everything *still* installed ie installing *over* the original installation) but deselecting everything but Avisynth. Installation gets a little further, but still doesn't fully install Avisynth.
2. Uninstall *everything* again, reinstall and Avisynth seems to finish installing properly (3.95 MB in Add/Remove Programs).
Don't know why this works, but it does.
Hope it doesn't give me any problems further down the line...

Thanks for the feedback. Weird. You can, of course, install AviSynth separately from lots of sources. :)

From recollection there was a bug with the installer in one of the previous versions of AVISynth.
