The headline says it all.
I followed the guide to Menushrink exactly and DVDShrink could't read the result.
First I decrypted the DVD with DVDencrypter to the hard disk, ok.
Then I opened the files in Menushrink and made it minimize the menues. ok.
Klicked "Process" and the processing started. ok.
Tried to open the new folder that Menushrink had ceated with DVDShrink. no good.
Got the answer: "System can't find the file"
Where did I go wrong?
Is Menushrink a reliable tool?
Thanks a lot!

Instead of using DVD D alone, use RipIt4Me instead. It will handle all of the newest of protection. But before using RI4M, run the output through FixVTS and see if that works.
BTW Menushrink only shrinks the menus by removing video and (maybe the) audio. It does not check for DVD compliance.

You don't use that folder, that is a backup folder, you use the folder that & the other files are in. Might also want to run what you have through FixVts, just to clean up.

No need for FixVTS either. Just open your project folder as soup says and leave the backup folder alone.

Thank you, guys!
I'll try this soon. Now I gotta go.
I suspected I should take the Original Folder, the one the files are stored in that DVDEncrypter produced. Not the Backup-Folder that Menushrink created. Well, I only assumed. Now I'm sure.
Will tell you later how it worked.
@Gary_D: There's no protection on the DVD, DVDEncrypter says. So no need to bother with ripit4me. Might give FixVTS a try. What does it do? Increase quality? Good thing.
Thanx to all of you!

Yu may not have needed Ripit4me for this movie but eventually you will as dvd decypter cant handle all movies.
There is a detailed explination in the writen guide.

If you really want to know what FixVts does.

I am with the others on RipIt4Me, I now use it for all backups old, or new.

It worked. As suggested, I used the altered files in the original folder, not the ones that are merely menushrink's backup.
But another question arose. I don't whether I may post it here or open a new thread in the DVDShrink forum.
Question: When I replace unwanted scenes with still images, the duration of the insert does not change. So the space-saving is less than expected.
I guess that's a often asked thing in DVDShrink forums, but if there's a simple and quick way to minimize the duration of the scene to let's say 20 secs instead of 15 min, I'd be very happy if you told me.
I'll try RipIt4Me as soon as I've encountered difficulties using DVDShrink DVDEncryptor.
Is RipIt4Me a better tool to keep the menus, and delete the unwanted stuff like scenes and languages?
You should use VobBlanker to "blank" the PGCs or cells you don't want to keep. They will be replaced by a very light single black frame.
You can also use PgcEdit to easily blank a whole domain at once (if everything in the VMGM, VTST or VTSM domain can be safely blanked.)
When you have blanked the useless material, use Shrink if you still need to compress the DVD.

Oh, well.
@r0lZ: I guess there's no way evading VOBBlanker or PGCEdit. It'll take some tiime to read and digest the manuals supplied in the forums. At least they're free like the rest of the forum!
Thanks again for your quick answer!
