Update your firmware - see http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2220
Burn slower (4x or 8x max). Change media to Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49635).

Transferred to Blank Media and Burning forum (http://forum.digital-digest.com/forumdisplay.php?f=69).

it made it almost to the end but took 7 1/2 minutes

maximum rate of only 8x by then may indicate low ram or disk fragmentation

course that aspi is terrible, but so is 4.71

O.K. I pretty much stumbled on to these forums...because I'm having a problem burning Invinvicble...I'm using Nero 7, with a Memorex Burner...I can give the specs if need be. I don't really know a whole lot about burning DVD's, I do have slysoft anyDVD, so I know how to get around copyrights and such. I burned BeerFest just fine because everything showed up as normal, but with Invincible none of the files show up on there...What exactly is the problem in noob terms?? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

I did Invincible using RipIt4Me which uses Dvd Decrypter & FixVts to rip to your hard drive, then Dvd Shrink & ImgBurn to burn, all free.

How much space do you have? RipIt4Me (http://www.ripit4me.org/RipIt4Me%20Installer.exe), DvdD (http://www.riphelp.com/downloads/dvd.html#dvdripping), Dvd Shrink (http://www.digital-digest.com/software/download.php?sid=423&ssid=0&did=7) & ImgBurn. (http://www.filehippo.com/download_imgburn/)

Did you Click where I had click here in post #5? Before you push ahead, you should maybe give The Golden Rules (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49635) a read just in case.

Well, it would appear I spoke too soon :-/....I'm on step 33...the picture where you select "samsung" etc...well when I go to do that it says "Unknown (FAILED)"....So I decided maybe I could just skip that part, so I just went ahead and did step 35 where you click to start it...and then I got an
error message I guess that said this:

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y248/poptartbeermonkey/error.jpg

Any thoughts or direction of what to do...I'm a little confused about the "Samsung" part...I have a 18x Memorex burner if that helps at all.

29 Jan 2007, 01:06 PM
What type of media is it Dvd-r or Dvd+R?

LUDA
29 Jan 2007, 01:12 PM
The discs are +R

The burner is both.

That is the drive I have, people have to pick their own. Try Pic 32 click OK & then go to burn & let's see what happens.

LUDA
29 Jan 2007, 01:23 PM
Alright I will try that here whenever Monty Python gets done burning...It worked fine with Nero and AnyDVD...I'll post back here in just a few minutes

LUDA

Where's Pic32 at?

soup
29 Jan 2007, 01:27 PM
The pic just before where you saw Samsung, it should be highlighted Welcome. Right after you click the little book in the right hand corner.

Yeah that's what I did when I was saying I just skipped over that part and just hit OK and thats when I went and got that error message after I started the burn.

29 Jan 2007, 01:40 PM
Please lead me through the steps you did exactly from opening up ImgBurn & selecting an ISO file to burn including exactly what the error was and where in the process it took place. Before you do that would you open up ImgBurn place a blank disc in the drive tray, then copy & paste everything that is in the right hand window of ImgBurn in to a post?

LUDA
29 Jan 2007, 01:46 PM
Yeah, hold on one sec. soup, I'm finishing the second copy of The Holy Grail...I will do that...as far as the steps go:

I followed your pics step by step exactly to the "T"....The error process took place whenever I just clicked "OK" on the part where it says (If you don't know what your doing push OK now). So then I just clicked the picture of the "disc on the paper arrowed to the disc" and that's when I got that error message that I posted.

soup
29 Jan 2007, 01:49 PM
So you didn't click the big green arrow?

LUDA
29 Jan 2007, 01:51 PM
Yes...that is the "disc on the paper ARROWED to the disc"? Is that what you're referring to?

soup
29 Jan 2007, 01:55 PM
When you are ready to burn, you click the arrow itself, nothing either side of it.

I'm talking about the thing I circled there, is that not right?

soup
29 Jan 2007, 02:06 PM
I think you will have to wait for the real pros to tell you about the discs & the burner because I can't get a hit on my search. Are you ready to give it another go, this time clicking the arrow when you are ready to burn?

Edit: circled where? I am missing something?

LUDA
29 Jan 2007, 02:09 PM
Yes the big red circle on that picture I just posted..."the disc in the paper arrowed to the disc" (bottom left of the picture)
