To anyone who can either answer my concern or has anything to do w/ the creation of SUPER (by eRightSoft) :
There is a very nasty Interlace problem when converting to AVI container using H264/AVC codec. Even when utilizing the "other options" tab and checking the "deinterlaced" option, there is still the interlaced output problem. I have started with clean high quality vobs and used SUPER with the containter/codec I mentioned and always get the choppy - horizontal rendering(interlace) when encoding.
Is there a fix or update or solution to this problem?
Thank you for reading and any help or solution is appreciated.

Btw, there is another bug...when trying to use Direct Show filter option to resize to custom size, the sizing works out, but the audio gets disabled. even though every option seems to be properly in order. I have noticed this when using the container avi / codec h264 AVC and a few others I have tried.
If you have found "bugs" with the program I would follow the advice on the download page.
Awaiting your feedback, as usual, by email or on the forum page.
Thank you for encouraging us to serve you with better softwares.

Dan- i tried to look for the email, but couldn't find it on their site or other forum sites.
Thanks for providing the proper forum link.
Did you look around at all? Contact & Support is the first place I look, and there it is.
As for the forum, you can use search or read the posts just like I had to do. :)
The FAQ is always good to read when new to a site or program.

Got a serious problem with the last version and the latest july 4.
Still can't use "DirectShow Decode" when converting files to FLV. Works fine if I turn it off. So I assume I haven't got the corresponding DirectShow ActiveX filter to decode the file. This was the suggestion from the error box.
Have loaded the latest ActiveX from microsoft.

Hi folks,
It is with saddened heart that I report the darn "SUPER 2008.33" does NOT work with "VISTA SP1 64-bit".
I guess I seriously have to start considering about downgrading to VISTA 32-bit!!!
Q: What do you folks think!?!?

Hi Blu,
I am with you 100% ... but this stupid laptop that I bought "Gateway M-6862" comes with Vista 64-bit and it has a CD to downgrade to 32-bit ...
But here is the darn problem ...
1) whoever has downgraded to Vista 32-bit has been having problems with Drivers.
2) Gateway (P.O.S.) does not provide all the XP drivers for all the components in this laptop.
So, I am stuck with 64-bit! Any Suggesstions!?!?
Thanks,
G!:)

That is not surprising, most manufactures if not all, do this to make it a pain in the ass to do a system recovery from the disks. But first you have to make the recovery disks. I know geeksquad charges $35.00 just to make the recovery disks. Geeksquad makes people think that there is no way the they could make the recovery disks.

Hi Doc,
I have already made my "Recovery Disc" ... 1 DVD that has everything. Plus I have the Drive "D" which is Gateway's Restore drive.
I have been on the Forums and chatting with folks owning thi smodel laptop and whoever has dared to change to Vista 32-bit or XP PRO ... they have all repoorting
- System instability (Crashes)
- Some components not working at all or properly.
I am just "So Surprised" a laptop can be built so finikie that you can NOT touch the OS that comes with.
So, that is where I am at ... basically SOL'ed.

Hi folks,
Is this new version any better!?!? What is the Verdict on this?
I did read on the eRight web page that this Version works with "Most Windows Versions" ... kind of lawyerly worded ... so it might work with Vista 64-bit!

I get errors with it on opening (something about the date being wrong!) and it can only be closed with taks manager as it says "Can't write to" all the time.

Hmmmmm didn't download it myself. Since I've tuned into AviDemux I only use SUPER as last resort. Just noticed the announcement.

Whenever I start SUPER, I get a funny message:
15624
I click OK and the program starts. Anybody else get this? I am using build 35 on XP SP3.
And on closing, I get this:
15625
I need to kill via task manager. Otherwise, it works OK!
I'm sure build 33 was fine.
(Sorry - just realised this is a repeat of post 27). And, yes, I tend not to use the prog a lot either. I use Procoder for most of my conversion needs.

Hey blutach
Go to the SUPER installation folder and delete a (Hidden Attributes) file called SUPER.ini, then restart SUPER.
If you cannot find the file you may need ultimately to open a DOS box and type:
attrib -S -H super.ini
then it becomes visible for you to delete (or rename to whatever.ini)
A new v2009.build.36 has been released fixing your issue.

Hi emanresu,
Q1: Do you know if the thing would work on Vista Home Prem., 64-Bit!?!?
I guess it if it is Smart enough it should install itself under x86 version!
Q2: Do you know if with Build 36, if you Un-Install can you revert back to the Older version(s) or does it lock you OUT? Like it has been doing since Build version 19.
Thanks,
G! :)

Hi emanresu,
Q1: Do you know if the thing would work on Vista Home Prem., 64-Bit!?!?
Mine is a 32bit Vista, Build.35 was working like a charm so does Build.36 today..
according to the authors: 64-bit CPU or OS support is NOT guaranteed
check out this link: erightsoft.net/faqt.html#Q022
Hi emanresu,

I am unable to answer you, haven't tried to revert. sorry.
Amongst other very useful features, this latest build.36 has full support for
YouTube FLVs input files with the H.264 video codec and is even able to render FLVs with H.264 (I needed badly this feature)
Previous versions were not able to support FLV with H.264, I wouldn't revert back anyways.
