I'm trying to create a logo to bur in to movies.

I don't know if the best way to do this is to use Donald Grafts logo filter to virtualdub or if there's another way.
if this is the way to do it is it anyone who knows how to make an BMP picture with a transparent backgrounf (if possible).

I think we don't want anybody to place stupid logos in DVD-Ripps or something like that. Or what do you want to use the logo for?

I'm going to make a CS movie for my friends and I want that movie to have it... Not ruining my nice DVD rips... don't be afraid of that=)

OK, then I may be able to help you. Donald Grafts logo filter is the bast decision for me. Transparency is very easy. Make a 24bit-bitmap and replace every pixel that should be transparent with one color (i.e. red 0, green 0, blue 255) that is not used in the rest of the picture. Then use the bitmap in the filter, enable transparent color and select the values for the used color. With Alphablending you can also make the whole logo transparent like as if it is made of colored glass.
