MOV -> AVI (divx) - How?

How can I get rid of this quicktime CRAP and get to good old divx?
Preferably in a batch operation

If you want to convert a Quicktime MOV format video to AVI use RAD Video Tools.
Then with say Virtual Dub re-encode the AVI with audio/video bitrates and codecs desired.

I stand by my method of TMPG with the QTReader plugin. Easy to use, I think you can do it batched, and it converts audio and video with no intermediate files.

Quicktime producer, Adobe Premiere, and Screen capture software are other possibilities.
