Hi folks, I am so tired of searching so I hope you can help me.

I am wondering if it would be possible to create a little avi, convert it to this strange DVD standard, burn it on a CDR and voila, the DVD player thinks it has a DVD inside ?

Do I have any chance of doing that or am I totally nuts ?

PLEASE HELP ME !

Hi...

no, you r not nuts... *g*

what you're looking for is a format called VCD or SVCD.
U'll find all tools u need and of course a good explanation how to do it on www.digital.digest.com right in the download section.
Have fun.

heaven871,
don't know if this is any use but there is information about making 'mini dvd' knocking about. do a search the idea was to use mpeg2(dvd) on a cdr with the menus etc. dont know if it works never tried it due to the amout of data u will get on a cdr.....your best bet as already said would to make a compliant vcd your dvd would play.....
