:smashead: PowerDVD 4.0 support only VGA card approved by MacroVision. So, Voodoo3 3000 (TV out) work only in File mode, in Disk mode: error F4D41436 - "This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled.".

As a result you can play only ripped DVDs (via DVDDecrypter 3.0.0.8). :D

The main reason is because the DVD Forum asked all DVD player developers (hardware and software) to protect analogue output (TV-OUT) by MacroVision. :evilaugh:

Tv-tools support only NVidia chipset based graphic cards. (Voodoo cards are differrents)

For example Kyro II doesn´t even have the Macrovision protection as far as I can tell... I tried playing PowerDVD on a Kyro II card via both the tv and vcr and I had no problems with playback or the image quality... :)

Try this download of a basic DVD player

I had the same problem which occurs because of Macrovision copy protection on the DVD. I can now happily watch my DVD's on my TV. This link is to a French university project in multi media. They have downloadable DVD software that doesn't know about Macrovision and plays perfectly.

Good luck.
