Where are they?

After burning 4 gigs of video files, I deleted them... or so I thought. They cant be found yet the space they took up still shows as being there on the hard drive. I've restarted several times but the space is still being "seen" on the hard drive? How do I free up that space? Any help will be greatly apreciated.

If you have Norton's protected recycle bin you might try checking there...you can also search your hard drives and specify files over 1 gig.
