I would like to upgrade gradually, keeping my P4 660 Prescott, but getting a new MOBO (Crossfire ready) that will allow a Core2 Duo later. I would also like to run DDR2 800 memory. And I'll need a new PSU (600W?).
The MOBO & PSU should handle 4 SATA3 hard drives, 2-3 PATA optical drives, a scanner, a printer, 3 firewire hard drives, and 6 usb hard drives, plus a usb video card.
So, MOBO, PSU & memory match-up suggestions will be appreciated. I can wait for sales (present pc is working fine), but, as age is creeping up on me, this will likely be my last pc. I tried NewEgg's Advanced Search, but couldn;t find any match-ups, lilely because I unwittingly threw in some incompatibilities. Ugh!
