I have 2 DVD burners. On one, the hardware properties indicate to use DMA if available, but it is using PIO. I don't use this drive because it generally causes a reboot, but it's a newer drive and when I first installed, I thought a better burner. Why doesn't it find DMA mode? Any help appreciated.

Have you tried uninstalling the channel and rebooting to see if DMA will kick in?

Thanks for the responses. I found an updated firmware and that re-set it to Ultra DMA Mode 2
