I just had a question about mkv files. I was wondering if there is a simple way of splitting a large mkv file 8 gigs into two smaller mkv files without reconverting the source. I know that the mkv is only a container like avi. Is there a way to split the file into two parts and maybe just rebuild the index or something?


I know its a dumb question but i thought i ask anyway. thanks for looking.
