I use a nice little freeware to mux subtitles into an .avi and output a .divx file. The app is Sub2Divx. But the one thing that annoyed me was having to navigate to my video folder every time since it doesn't remember the last folder used in the File Open Common Dialog.

So just for chuckles I tried dragging and dropping my video folder onto the Favorites Sidebar thingy and it worked!!!!

I tried doing the same on my XP machine. Drag & drop didn't work but I found that TweakUI lets you assign folders to the Places Bar in XP.

I learn something new every year or so!! Yay!!!

When trying to find the Registry tweak on Vista to set Places Bar Icons for XP
legacy apps I ran across this little Places Bar Editor utility.

I installed it on both my XP and Vista machines. It seems to work ok. Only thing weird is when you press the About button it draws stupid fractal designs. Maybe because I haven't donated I dunno'!!! :)
