View Full Version : Windows Explorer Keeps Crashing

Every time I open Windows Explorer I keep getting a message saying Windows Explorer encountered a problem. When I either click on Send Report or Don't Send it's followed by the Dr Watson Debuggin error and my PC kind of freezes. I can move the mouse arrow about but I can't click on anything and I have to reboot.

I used System Restore and that never fixed the problem and I tried RegCure and that never fixed the problem even though their AD says it fixes anything (that's a joke). Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Many thanks.

Checked for viruses and malware?

If your system is clean (no viruses etc.) could be a corrupt file and you may need a repair install to fix it.

Have you tried booting in safe mode? If so, same problem?

Most of the free registry repair programs will tell you that there is a problem but will not fix the problems. You have to buy it then it may fix the problems.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I found out what the problem was, it was a corrupted DVD file. As soon as I deleted it my Windows Explorer has worked fine.
