OK, I'm honestly not sure what's causing this. :smashead:

But for some reason, when I use "browse" for any function in Explorer (including programs like Firefox), the list of files/folders is sorted backwards, from Z to A.

I can right click and say "sort by name" but it won't stay that way - next browse window I do has them backwards again.

Did I hit some weird setting in Windows or something? :fan2:

Try clicking on the column heading in Explorer instead.

It's still backwards, even when I click Details!

I even restarted a few times... what is causing this stupid problem?!

Explorer is known for funky behavior. I'd recommend you google on terms:
XP Explorer Bags BagsMRU and see what you find.

I don't want to recommend anyone deleting keys in Regedit. I'd rather have people
get angry at somebody else if it doesn't work!! :)

I assume you're using XP but in Vista I often have to run a script that deletes the reg keys that Vista uses to remember Explorer settings so it will work normally again(the reg keys are different in XP.)

Alternatively you can use FreeCommander.exe
It's free and more consistent than Explorer.

You can even set it up to use TeraCopy for file copies and moves
when you hit the hotkeys!! Very nice software!
